Mission

Love For Nica, LLC is a social enterprise selling high quality goods that are 100% handcrafted in Nicaragua.   In addition to providing job opportunities to the Nicaraguan people, we give 50% of all profits back to Nicaragua.

Support for Nicaragua – Giving Back

We provide financial support to the following non-profit organizations in Nicaragua:

The Foundation of Uncle Antonio

Tio Antonio’s is an NGO founded in Granada, Nicaragua in 2007. Completely apolitical and non-denominational, Tio Antonio’s is dedicated to employing individuals with disabilities.

The Center for Understanding Nature at the White Rock Massif Preserve

The Mission of El CEN is to conserve and rehabilitate natural and agricultural ecosystems in the mountain regions of Northern Nicaragua.

Note from our Founder

Despite a turbulent past and continued hardships, Nicas (Nicaraguans) are some of the most resilient and kindhearted people you’ll ever encounter. Experiencing and understanding Nicaragua can teach all of us a lot about life.

Creating Love For Nica had been in the works for a few years, but after witnessing the economic crisis first-hand in January of 2019 it became clear the idea could no longer wait. Now more than ever Nicaragua needs our support.

I’m deeply honored for the opportunity to partner with Tio Antonio’s Foundation. Uncle Tony’s passion and dedication in supporting Nicaragua is awe-inspiring.

A special thanks to Azael Alvarado (mi hermano Nica), Aristides Flores, Katie Duane, Jon Tate, Peter Roberts and the Social Enterprise @ Goizueta of Emory University for their many contributions to this project. And most importantly, I need to thank Carles Navarro and Amber Schreiner, without their help none of this would be possible.

Thank you for supporting Love For Nica!
